Manufacturing Source acts as the middleman between product designers and manufacturers for several processes such as CNC Machining, Injection Moulding and Sheet Metal. The core innovation is the ability to upload and interact with a 3D model detailing key information to enable a better quote estimation. I was brought on as a full stack engineer to help rework and scale a legacy system (Laravel/MySQL) as well as manage and plan the tech department.

Thread is an innovative online fashion shop that blends machine learning with stylists to customise and recommend outfits tailored to an individual's style. Using A/B testing for rapid experimentation and iteration of the product, I helped integrate legacy Django templates with ReactJS components, migrating functionality as necessary alongside implementing new customer facing features.

BBC Digital Guerrillas is a platform to drive innovation within the BBC by creating novel experiences for users. We were brought on to assist in scaling a Socket.io hybrid video streaming/chat application to withstand a large influx of users when it was launched alongside a flagship BBC program.

PeekVision is a nonprofit charity that delivers an easy to use, mobile solution to scanning and assessing eye quality in a remote setting, such as rural villages in Africa. Our team helped transition a prototype mobile eye grading system into a production ready system that is flexible enough to handle differing eye care solutions and country jurisdictions.

Greenfinch is a Dublin based software development company where we worked on several external client projects with a variety of different requirements. Some examples include investigating appropriate data analytics platforms (DataZen and RoamBI) that hook into deployed SSRS and SQL Server instances; researching and implementing an Orchard CMS module that connects to an existing MS Active Directory domain on a local network and replicates itself over VPN to an external MS Azure cloud.

With Sherwood, who deliver innovative supply chain solutions, we helped design and implement a .Net/Xamarin-based cross-platform application that allows users to add and value their belongings, hook into insurance and local service providers as well as integrating with third-party services in order to provide extra metadata (e.g address lookup, property area info).

UBS is a Swiss global financial services company. Within UBS' Credit Risk department, we had several duties; dealing with feature planning, sprint plan estimations, code and design decisions, coordinating a global team of developers, engaging with end-users and triaging defects. Often, there were several projects being managed in parallel, each with a mixture of .Net, Java and Oracle DB technologies.
